The proposed transit tunnel for the downtown core hinges on provincial and government support, but so far confirmed funding falls three quarters of a billion dollars short.
Sewers, roads and recreation centers are just some local projects that are getting a multi-million dollar boost thanks to the recent string of infrastructure announcements.
But top of mind is the money that has not been announced yet, for the city's master transportation plan.
Housing and Municipal Affairs Minister Jim Watson maintains that 200 million dollars from the provincial government is on the table, but more discussions are needed.
The first part of the plan calls for a 3 km downtown tunnel.
