The fate of two Ottawa cab drivers will be decided by the City of Ottawa’s licensing committee in January.
The city alleges there were “irregularities and further indicators of suspected misuse” of taxi chits during the transit strike last winter.
A report from the Auditor General confirmed the investigation is ongoing into the alleged misuse of taxi chits.
The lawyer for the two drivers asked for more time to review the material.
The city is investigating 15 cab drivers in connection with alleged irregularities in their use of the taxi chits.
The license committee can suspend or revoke taxi licences.
