Students Raise Thousands for Earthquake Relief

Ottawa students have raised thousands of dollars for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.
The Ottawa Carleton District School Board says students have raised $191-thousand through book sales, bake sales, Hats for Haiti and other initiatives.
A cheque for $118-thousand has been presented to the Canadian Red Cross, with the remaining funds distributed to other charities assisting relief efforts in Haiti.
The Ottawa Catholic School Board says students and staff have collected over $100-thousand for relief efforts following the January 12th earthquake.
