The RCMP says two Canadian men killed in Mexico were involved in the drug trade.
Sgt. Shinder Kirk says Gordon Douglas Kendall and Jeffrey Ivans were known to police in British Columbia and on the radar of gang investigators.
Kendall and Ivans were found shot to death in a Puerto Vallarta condo complex on Sunday.
Authorities in Mexico say Ivans was carrying a gun but was not able to use it when the two men were shot.
They add witnesses told police that two other gunmen arrived and repeatedly shot the dead or dying Canadians.
No arrests have been made.
