Libya Bans Canadians

Canadian travelers are no longer welcome in Libya.
Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi has told Libya’s travel documentation offices not to grant visas to Canadians wanting to enter the country.
The move comes after Gadhafi cancelled a planned trip to Newfoundland last month after the Conservative Government said it would scold the Libyan leader over the welcome Libya gave to a man convicted in the Lockerbie bombing.
Canadian officials say Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon raised the issue during a trip to Tripoli last week.
