Prime Minister Stephen Harper will arrive back in Canada on Thursday after wrapping up his trip to India.
Harper's three-day visit to India ended with a tour of the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar.
Earlier in the day, Harper toured the world's largest Hindu temple. The Golden Temple in New Delhi was the site of a violent clash in 1984 that ultimately led to the bombing of an Air India flight out of Vancouver.
The last Canadian Prime Minister to visit the Golden Temple was Liberal Jean Chretien in 2003.
