A Liberal MP admits she was wrong to make an on-line fat joke on Twitter about a Conservative MP.
Toronto's Michelle Simson apologized in the House of Commons for sending out a tweet during a committee meeting Tuesday morning that suggested Peterborough Conservative Dean Del Mastro "should grow up, not out."
"If there's anything that I said that offended the member, I'm sorry. To say that one should grow up and not out is out of line and I apologize," Simson said.
Upset by the Grit's comment, Del Mastro says he's battled weight problems since he was a child.
