Huntsville too Small for G20: RCMP

Canada’s top cop suggests it would be “difficult if not impossible” to hold the Group of 20 leaders summit in Ontario’s cottage country.
RCMP Commissioner William Elliott says Huntsville is too small to host next summer’s G20 summit.
The initial plan was to hold the G8 summit in Huntsville, with a second, larger G20 meeting somewhere nearby.
Elliott says the decision is up to the Prime Minister, but said “it will be a challenge with respect to participants for the G8 given infrastructure in the community, but we’re dealing with that.”
The RCMP is working with the OPP and the Canadian Forces on summit security.
The Federal Government has spent millions of dollars to prepare for the summits in Huntsville, including $11 million to upgrade the airport.
