Premier Fires Back Over HST

Premier Dalton McGuinty is accusing Ontario’s Opposition parties of using “myths and fictions” to scare Ontario voters about the Harmonized Sales Tax.
One day after the Progressive Conservatives walked out of the Ontario Legislature to protest the HST, McGuinty said the Tories are intentionally distorting the facts.
McGuinty says the Opposition doesn’t have the courage to promise to reverse the merger of the eight per cent provincial sales tax with the five per cent Goods and Services Tax should they win the 2011 election.
The Conservatives say there is no legal way to undo the tax.
