The Public Health Agency of Canada is confirming 24 cases of a anaphylaxis in Canadians after receiving the H1N1 flu shot.
A Quebec man died from the severe allergic reaction after receiving the vaccine.
Dr. David Butler-Jones says “there were a number of situations. So exactly what the ultimate cause was or what the issues are, that will take some time, I understand, to investigate.”
Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can cause a person’s airways to close up. It can be fatal and must be treated quickly with adrenaline.
