Shelley McLean

Shelley McLean was raised in Manotick. She's a graduate of the Radio Broadcasting program at Loyalist College in Belleville. Shelley began her radio career at CJTN in Trenton, before moving back to Ottawa to work at Energy 1200 and Majic 100.

In 1995, she began anchoring overnight news at CFRA. From there she moved on to reporting and covered a wide range of issues, including municipal politics. Shelley began hosting On Target Ottawa and joined Madely in the Morning in 2001.

Shelley enjoys helping out in the community.  In the past, Shelley has been a part of fundraising efforts with the Cancer Research Society.  Shelley volunteers for the Irish Society each year during Irish Week festivities and the annual Army Run.  Shelley's most personal fundraising efforts came in May 2010, when she took part in the 10k on Ottawa Race Weekend.  Shelley ran in memory of her father and raised money for the Ottawa Hospital's cancer research wing - a part of the Run for Research team.

Shelley and her husband are the proud parents of Grace, born on Valentine’s Day, 2007.  Shelley also has three stepsons.
