Winchester man accused of killing wife won't seek bail

Howard Richmond, the Winchester man accused of first-degree murder in the death of his 28-year-old wife, has abandoned his bid to seek bail.

Richmond will remain behind bars until a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 12.

Melissa Richmond's body was found in a ravine in the South Keys area last July, days after she had been reported missing.

Richmond, who works for the Canadian Forces, was arrested in the following days.
