A big boost for the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
CNN has placed the museum at number 10 in their 14 top aviation museums in the world.
"It's quite an honour for us to be in the top 10, especially since this is an international list with an international news agency," said Stephen Quick, who is the museum's director general. "It's quite a good shot in the arm - in the wing, sorry!"
Quick told CFRA they hope the designation will help them attract more local visitors.
"I think what it's going to do is really attract those people in town that have been to us once in their life and sort of look at us as that place that has airplanes and not much happens, to sort of see that we're constantly updating our collection, our experiences," said Quick. "[We have]
a lot of brand new stuff from the Canadian Space Agency. Also being top 10 in the world is kind of a cool way to attract them."
CNN's list also points out interesting things to see at the museum, like the nose of an Avro Arrow and the flight simulator.
"The collection is really second to none anywhere in the world," said Quick. "There's so many unique aircraft here."
The museum also received an Award of Excellence from Trip Advisor.
Topping CNN's list is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
