The lawyers for the ringleader in Ottawa's teen pimp trial will be back before the judge today to set a date for her sentencing hearing.
This first court date they'll set will be for lawyers to argue whether the 17-year-old should be sentenced as an adult, which is what the Crown is pushing for.
Though she was only 15 at the time of the offences the courts can sentence her as an adult if they prove the youth sentence, a maximum of three years, isn't enough punishment for the seriousness of the crime and prove that she knew the full effect her actions would have.
Justice Diane Lahaie has ordered a psychiatric evaluation and a presentencing report which looks at other similar cases.
The girl is being kept locally through the sentencing process to keep her closer to her legal team.
As with the other two accused who pleaded guilty there will be victim impact statements read when the girl's sentencing hearing is finally held.
