Gatineau man charged in Terrebonne double-homicide

A 22-year-old Gatineau man has been arrested in connection with a double murder just north of Montreal.

The bodies of Luc Gelinas and Julie Lemieux were discovered yesterday in their home in Terrebonne.

According to CTV Montreal, there are reports that the 54-year-old Gelinas and 35-year-old Lemieux were stabbed to death.

Guillaume Gelinas had been living with his father and his father's girlfriend since returning home from serving with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan.

He was arrested in Gatineau today and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

He will appear in court in Joliette on Monday.
