After allegedly brandishing a knife, and uttering death threats, a 24 year old Ottawa man is facing a number of charges.
Ottawa Police say just after three o'clock Saturday afternoon, a man who lives in the 300 block of Cooper Street in Centretown went to a neighbours residence, requesting money.
The neighbour refused, and police say the man later returned in front of the residence, brandishing a knife, and uttering death threats to the occupant.
Witnesses called police, and authorities have arrested and charged James Lavergne with a number of charges, including uttering threats, possession of a weapon, and assault with a weapon.
Lavergne appeared in court Sunday, and has been remanded into custody.
He is set to appear in court again on Tuesday.
Police say the investigation revealed that the neighbours do not know each other.
There are no reported injuries.
