A third-party report about the Airport Parkway pedestrian bridge delay is now available to the public.
While the SEG Management Consultants study isn't able to determine the extent of which the designer or contractor failed to deliver on its commitment or whether they were in default of contract, it does provide 18 recommendations for the city to follow in the future.
Among them, improved risk management throughout the lifecycle of a project.
A memo from the Deputy City Manager for Planning and Infrastructure says city hall has not had an opportunity to review SEG's findings in detail yet.
The report heads to the Finance and Economic Development Committee next Tuesday.
The bridge was originally set to be finished in October of 2011 instead of late this year.
The cost has soared from $6.9-million to more than $11.5-million.
