Language police stand down

The Quebec language police are backing down on their demand for a Chelsea business owner to translate her Facebook page to French.

Eva Cooper, the owner of Delilah (in the Parc,) spoke with OQLF over the phone today.

She's been told that she would no longer face a fine as long as she continues to post in both English and French.

The agency has admitted it needs a better strategy when it comes to social media.

Cooper wants a formal letter confirming what was discussed over the phone.
