Expect a slow start to spring: The Weather Network

The Weather Network has released its three-month outlook and it's not much different from the forecast Environment Canada laid out Monday.

Weather Network Meteorologist Gina Ressler said spring is going to see near normal temperatures but it's going to take a long time to arrive.

"We may get some tastes of spring or some teasers over the next few weeks but it's not really looking like we're going to see any extended stretches of mild weather until we get into April and then May," Ressler said.

She said the warm weather will arrive in the western part of the country first and then slowly make its way east.
