Gatineau lifts preventive boil water advisory

The City of Gatineau has announced that the preventive boil water advisory issued on Wednesday for parts of the city has now been lifted.

The advisory affected about 1,000 residents in Gatineau. City officials say the water has been tested and shown to meet quality standards.

The City reminds residents that they before consuming the water, they should open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it gets cold.

Affected residents are also reminded to throw out any ice made with water obtained during the period of the boil water advisory.
