Carleton University will hold a talk today at noon with a professor of Russian studies to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Piotr Dutkiewicz says the question in Crimea shouldn't be what is legal and legitimate but rather what is right and wrong.
"We should stop making noises about legality but rather see the situation on the ground and make the best out of this, the situation is still reconcilable," he said."
He says the window of opportunity is shortening because a referendum will be held on the 16th about whether Crimea should join Russia.
Dutkiewicz is a professor in the Institute of European Russian and Eurasian studies at Carleton and has extensive experience in Russian issues.
