O.P.P. officer charged in collision after leaving scene of different crash

An O.P.P. officer has been charged in a collision that happened while he was leaving the scene of another crash he was investigating.

The officer had just finished checking-in on the collision on Highway 29 near New Dublin, outside Brockville. As he was leaving the scene, he tried to make a U-turn and his cruiser was hit by a southbound vehicle.

O.P.P. say 33-year-old Constable Chris Trower has been charged.
