uOttawa part-time teaching staff could strike during exams

Teaching and Research Assistants at the University of Ottawa could strike during exam season, according to the U of O newspaper, "The Fulcrum".

It says the union passed a strike mandate Wednesday and could legally walk off the job at the end of the month. A collective bargaining agreement expired in August.

Meantime, security workers at Carleton University are still on strike after hitting the picket lines Monday. Teaching Assistants and contract instructors there had started to strike but have since resolved their issues with the school.
