Spring is due to arrive on Friday but winter seems insistant on throwing at least one last punch.
Environment Canada is predicting 5-10 cm of snow on Wednesday morning and more snow is set to fall on the weekend.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says an already long winter is feeling even worse because there's been very little relief.
"We try to struggle up to something more seasonal, we do manage to get there for a day or two and then we go right back down again to much colder than normal conditons and really that's going to be the pattern for us for the rest of this week," he said.
"We do have temperatures around minus 1 for Wendsday but snow coming in with a system coming from the American southwest, flurry activity remaining with us for Thursday and then as we head into Saturday, yet another system that could bring more snow to the area," said Coulson.
He warned it's not likely we'll see consecutive days of mild weather until mid-April.
