Man who filmed police intervention slapped with distracted driving fine

A driver who used his cell phone to videotape a police intervention in Maniwaki has been slapped with a fine.

The video was circulating on social media and Quebec provincial police say the driver even commented that he was happy they didn't catch him in the act.

Police did, however, track him down using the social media site and fined him $120 for using his cell phone while driving.

He also received three demerit points.
