Party goers accused of throwing beer bottles at Gatineau Police

Gatineau Police arrested 15 people following a rowdy party Saturday morning that reportedly saw beer bottles thrown at police officers.

Police were called to 22 rue Marengere around 4 a.m. where they found around 30 people causing a disturbance. The officers who initially attended the scene reported the partiers began throwing chairs and beer bottles, some of which were full, at them.

The officers called for reinforcements from both Gatineau Police and Surete du Quebec and proceeded to arrest 10 men and three women along with two teens.

Most were fined for disturbing the peace, eight are also facing criminal charges including assaulting a police officer with a weapon, obstructing police officers, possessing drugs and breach of court conditions.

Police say they have attended the residence for multiple noise complaints.

A young child was also at the home at the time of the incident and was taken into protective services because their mother was arrested.

Two of the officers suffered minor injuries during the incident.
