Ottawa Police want increased security at courthouse

A new security plan at the Ottawa courthouse could be rolled out later this year.

The security features focus on controlling access into the courthouse by getting everyone to use the main entrance on Elgin Street.

Ottawa Police say people would also have to go through a metal detector, and items such as handbags and coats will have to go through a screening device, much like the airport.
