Another Late Season Snowfall Hits Ottawa

Environment Canada says 10 centimetres of snow somewhat unexpected

The Ottawa area was hit with a late-season snowstorm Sunday morning, with accumulated snowfall of around 10 centimetres.

Environment Canada meteriologist Matt Desharnais told CFRA that forecasters were originally expecting the storm system to by pass Ottawa, but it veered further west than forecast.

The system moved into the region from an area south of the Great Lakes.
