Security staff at Carleton University ratify contract with university

Security staff at Carleton University voted Sunday evening in favour of a contract with the university.

The school said earlier in the day that they and the union for patrol services staff had reached a tentative contract settlement.

OPSEU Local 404, the union representing the security staff, went on strike on March 10.

Details of the contract have not been revealed yet however, the university says details were concealed until after the ratification vote.

OC Transpo says the bus detour is now over, and students will be dropped off on campus.
