Police seek suspect in Preston Street bank robbery

Ottawa Police are asked for the public's help in solving a bank robbery that took place in Little Italy on Friday afternoon.

Police say a lone man entered the bank on Preston Street around 3 p.m. told an employee he was armed and demanded cash.

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as possibly being of middle eastern descent, between 30 and 40 years old, around 5'5" to 5'8" and had either short hair or was bald.

The man had a noticable accent when speaking English.

He was wearing a black long sleeved hoodie and navy blue sweat pants. Witnesses described him as appearing unkempt.
