Firearms charges laid in Overbrook

A 25-year-old Ottawa man faces multiple firearms-related charges after a series of events in the Overbrook area.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Prince Albert Street Monday afternoon, responding to reports of a man believed to be in possession of a gun.

Timothy Langlois was arrested, accused of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Today, they executed a search warrant at a home in that area, seizing a semi-automatic handgun.

That's led to additional weapons charges against Langlois, including careless use of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and several more offenses.
