There will be some traffic delays along Highway 174 near Quigley Hill Road over the next week.
Crews are conducting geotechnical investigation work at that intersection as part of a $600,000 project to improve the crossing.
The city says work will take place during daytime off-peak hours and that there will be periodic single-lane reductions.
That geotechnical work runs from Wednesday through next April 9.
Eventually a new westbound left-turn lane will be built at Quigley Hill along with a slip-around lane extension of the eastbound right-turn lane.
