Four men facing weapons charges after police raid

Four Ottawa-area men will be in court Thursday facing multiple weapons related charges.

Ottawa Police's Guns and Gangs Unit and Gatineau Police seized a number of weapons from a home on Notre Dame de L'ile. The four men in their 20s each face two weapons charges including unlicensed possession of prohibited weapons and possessing a loaded firearm.

Mohamud Ahmed, 24, Mohamed Shire, 24, Ibrahim Iman, 25, and Abdirashid Mohamed, 24, were arrested Wednesday around 4 p.m.

Police seized a loaded 9mm semi-automatic Smith and Wesson pistol and a loaded .22 calibre Ruger revolver.
