The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is warning of flooding in specific areas along the Rideau River.
They expect flooding on the surface of Rideau River Drive between Belmont and Fentiman in Old Ottawa South, and along the private road to Hilly Lane in North Grenville.
People there can expect to have access difficulties over the next few days.
Authority spokesperson Patrick Larson says the high water should only last a couple of days.
"We're looking at the weekend for a peak, when all the snow is gone," he says.
Larson adds the cool weather has allowed the snow to melt more slowly, reducing the risk of large-sclae flooding.
The authority continues to monitor the situation.
