There was another malfunction at the Fallowfield VIA Rail crossing Tuesday night.
Ottawa Police say they got a call from an OC Transpo employee around 11:30 p.m. The employee said the lights at the crossing were flashing and the arms were down, but there was no train.
A CFRA listener called to say traffic was backed up in the area.
OC Transpo cancelled their request for police just minutes after their call because a VIA Rail employee is now on-site 24-hours monitoring the situation.
Police say the issue was quickly resolved and traffic was cleared.
