Federal tax computers shut down

The computers used to accept your electronically-filed tax returns may be under threat.

The Canada Revenue Agency shut down public access to its electronic services Wednesday morning.

In a statement on its website, the Agency says it's to "protect the security of taxpayer information."

The statement says technicians are working to restore the services as soon as possible, but no target time or date is being given.
