Patrick Brazeau is reportedly once again in hot water.
Several media outlets are reporting that the suspended Senator was arrested early Thursday morning following an altercation in a residence on Labrosse Boulevard in Gatineau.
Gatineau Police will not confirm the name of the individual arrested just before 4 a.m. until charges are formally laid, but do say it was a 39-year-old man, who had a court order to keep the peace and remain on good behaviour.
Police allege the man assaulted a woman on the balcony of the residence and threatened a 50-year-old man inside.
They say he was also in possession of a small amount of white powder that may be cocaine.
The man is facing charges of assault, uttering threats, breach of undertaking and possessing drugs.
Gatineau Police say the man arrested accused the 50-year-old man of assaulting him and that he is also expected to be charged.
The 39-year-old man is currently in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Brazeau is already facing fraud-related charges linked to the senate scandal and separate charges stemming from an incident involving his ex-girlfriend.
