80M litres of sewage overflows in Ottawa River

Heavy rain pushed 80 million litres of raw sewage and stormwater into the Ottawa River last week.

Less than four months into the year, and already close to 95 million litres of watered-down sewage ended up overflowing.

The City is planning to build an underground storage tunnel and tanks to increase capacity.

The price tag is $195 million and the City wants it shared evenly among all three levels of government.
