Ottawa Police have settled a lawsuit with the woman at the centre of the 2008 cell block strip-search case.
According to the Ottawa Citizen, the $1.2-million lawsuit was settled for less than $100,000.
The woman, who cannot be named because of a publication ban was left topless in the cell block after Sgt. Steve Desjourdy cut off her top.
Desjourdy was acquitted of sexual assault at trial last April, but a disciplinary hearing found him guilty of discreditable conduct last week.
Ottawa Police Services Board Chair Eli El-Chantiry told CFRA the board has decided to cover the more than $500,000 dollars in legal fees for Desjourdy's criminal trial.
