Easter cheer served at the Ottawa Mission

Dedicated volunteers and kitchen staff worked tirelessly for weeks to serve an Easter feast to those in need at the Ottawa Mission Monday.

Tanis, one of the eager volunteers, said she thinks everyone should try volunteering during the holidays.

"Everybody thanks you, everybody is happy that you're volunteering. That is the one thing that I do find on the holidays, is everybody thanks you for what you're doing. It's very heart-warming," she said.

The Ottawa Mission is expecting to serve over 2,500 roast beef dinners throughout the day.
