A 45-year-old man has died after a construction accident at Bank and Sparks streets.
It happened at about two this afternoon in the parkling lot area of the Bank of Canada building.
Ottawa Fire says construction materials fell on top of the man's head when a brick wall collapsed and the worker suffered a severe head trauma.
Ottawa Fire and Paramedics tried to revive the man, performing CPR at the scene and continuing en route to hospital.
PCL Construction says the man was a sub-contractor who worked for Priestly Demolition.
Both the Ottawa Police and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the accident.
