Ministry of Labour continues probe into construction worker's death in Centretown

Ontario's Ministry of Labour is investigating following a construction accident Monday at Bank and Sparks streets that left a 45-year-old man dead.

The man, who was a sub-contractor working for Priestly Demolition, suffered severe head trauma when construction materials and debris apparently fell on his head in the parking lot area of the Bank of Canada building around 3 p.m.

Back in 2006, Priestly Demolition was fined $200,000 after an incident in 2003 that saw one person killed and 17 others injured in downtown Toronto.

The investigation into the Ottawa accident continues, and there have been no allegations of wrongdoing or negligence.
