Work continues at Richcraft Sensplex

The Richcraft Sensplex opens in 100 days and Capital Sports Management, the operator of the facility, says construction is well on its way.

The Richcraft Sensplex will be a four-pad area complex that will incorporate the existing J.B. Potvin Arena on Shefford Road.

Two of the three new cement slabs for the rinks have already been poured and the facelift and rehabilitation for the Potvin Arena has started.

There are over 80 trades people working at the site every day. It's due to open Aug. 5th.

Geoff Public, the vice president of strategic development with the Senators says they've already booked over 70 per cent of the facility's ice time in 2015-2015.

That's more than 10,000 hours of ice time.

The Richcraft Sensplex is scheduled to host 21 tournaments involving more than 1,000 teams over the 2014-2015 winter season.
