Stanley Cup shows up at hockey team party

Young hockey players got a big surprise at their end of the year party on Wednesday.

The Stanley Cup showed up at the Nepean Sportsplex to honour the members of the Nepean Raiders Minor Peewee team for giving back to their community this season.

Scotiabank spokesperson Alison Watkin says this is part of their Surprise and Delight Campaign.

"Basically they just want to show support for their community hockey players and then they also want to reward those community hockey players for showing support within their community," Watkin said.

The team is also supported by the Scotiabank Bright Future philanthropic program.
