The Afghanistan Memorial Vigil leaves Ottawa today, as it travels across Canada and to the United States.
The Vigil is one of the ways the Department of National Defense, and the Canadian Armed Forces are commemorating the service of Canadian personnel.
It consists of information, artifacts, and more than 190 plaques from the Kandahar Airfield Cenotaph, representing those who died during the Canadian mission in Afghanistan.
The Vigil's first stop will be Bain Park in Trenton, Sunday.
The Vigil will be on tour until October 26th, and will visit 20 Canadian cities and Washington, D.C.
It will return to Ottawa on May 9th for a private viewing for families of the fallen, and then a public viewing will be made available May 10th and 11th.
The Vigil's full schedule is available here.
