Rideau Street will be losing lanes again starting Monday.
The City of Ottawa says Rideau will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Chapel Street and the Cummings Bridge as Rideau Street reconstruction resumes.
The south side of the Chapel Street and Augusta Street intersections will be closed at Rideau Street.
It's part of a $15.6 million initiative aimed at improving the look of Rideau Street, as well as its safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
Sewer pipes are also being replaced as part of the Ottawa River Action Plan.
The city says at least one pedestrian crossing will be maintained at each intersection.
