Thousands to gather for Day of Honour

The federal government is rolling out the red carpert for the military and their families for today's National Day of Honour.

The National Ceremony begins at 12:15 Friday afternoon with opening remarks, followed by the Parade of Honour at 12:30, starting at the War Museum and ending on Parliament Hill.

There will also be a 21-gun salute, a moment of silence and a Royal Canadian Air Force fly-over.
