Police say 'sudden death' in Centretown not suspicious

Ottawa Police say the "sudden death" of a man, whose body was discovered on Cooper Street at the corner of Kent Street, is not suspicious.

Police say the man was found unconscious around 1:20 a.m. Saturday and he later died in hospital.

They tell CFRA, the body was discovered outside on the street but, they believe the man lives at the residence in the area he was found.

Police had the area taped off Saturday morning for their investigation, however, roads remained open.

Police say the man died of natural causes. Next of kin has been notified and his identity is being withheld at the request of the family.
