A man is in hospital after being rescued from the Rideau River.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the river shortly after 11 o'clock Monday night. Fire crews say the man had jumped into the water in the area of Donald Street and North River Road. Water Rescue units launched a boat from the St. Patrick Street Bridge on reports the man was headed north.
He was rescued just north of the Cummings Bridge and handed over to Paramedics, who say he was conscious at the time.
He was taken to the Montfort Hospital with a high priority.
