Off-duty police officer charged with impaired driving

An off-duty Ottawa Police officer has been charged with impaired driving.

Police say 30-year-old Const. Marie Josee Seguin was pulled over by the RCMP during a traffic stop on the East bound 417 off-ramp at St-Laurent Boulevard around 2 a.m. last Wednesday.

She has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failing to provide a breath sample.

Seguin was released on a promise to appear.

The Ottawa Police Service Professional Standards Section has launched an investigation into the matter.
